8 reasons to join Boon
2023 IS THE YEAR!
In 2023 we're reopening our office and building back up our team, while working on some super ambitious projects that are due for release this year. It’s an incredible time to join the company, and an opportunity to play a direct role in shipping our games to a massive global audience.YOUR OPINION WILL COUNT
We're a small gaming studio with a team of less than 10 people. If you are an engineer, you will be working side-by-side with the artists and designers working on the game, and vice versa. You will get to experience all aspects of the game creation process from start-to-finish. Your actions will have an impact, you won't just be a cog in a larger wheel.MINIMUM RED-TAPE
The entire team, including the founders, are game developers first and foremost. We love the act of creating games, and have a healthy dislike for anything that gets in the way. We keep meetings to a minimum - there's a quick daily catchup, and longer planning/design meetings at the onset of new projects, but for the most part, you will be able to focus on what you do best.FOUNDATION, EXPERIENCE & BIG AMBITIONS
Boon is self funded with no external pressures. Past success has given us a solid enough foundation to go forth and create the games company of our dreams. We're focused on expanding our incredible core team to allow us to tackle more projects. We understand great people make great games.CULTURE
We have a culture of continuous learning, responsibility and ownership. We're a small team, trying to figure out how to be the best. We constantly ask ourselves how we can improve, and how we can create the most awesome games possible.GREAT TOOLS
We won't skimp on the tools that allow our team to do its best work. We are continuously trying new hardware and software to improve our workflow. We're currently experimenting with Godot as a future engine, and several AI based workflows.WORK IN-PERSON WITH GREAT PEOPLE
Remote work has its place, but in our experience, nothing beats getting a group of talented people working together under the same roof. With the right people and the right environment, everything gets elevated a notch, and this allows for the creation of the best games possible.DUBLIN IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK
Boon HQ is on Fitzwilliam Lane, right beside the Merrion Hotel and within 5 minutes walking distance of Grafton St. It is one of the nicest parts of Dublin City Centre. Dublin is a vibrant city with lots to do and almost everything is close to the studio.Ireland is known around the world for its stunning natural beauty, rich literary history, and strong cultural identity.
